The Eva Clayton Rural Food Institute is proud to announce its upcoming Small Farmers' Roundtable and Resource Fair, set to take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Vance-Granville Community College. This event is designed to empower and equip small farmers with vital information, resources, and networking opportunities to enhance their agricultural success and sustainability.
The day-long program will feature expert-led discussions on critical topics, including:
Heirs’ Property: Understanding and resolving issues related to land ownership and legacy.
Farm Bill Updates: What small farmers need to know about this key legislation.
Grant Applications: Tips and resources for accessing funding opportunities.
Climate-Smart Farming: Practical strategies for sustainable and resilient agriculture.
Local Resources and More: Insights into the tools and support available to help farmers thrive.

Farmers and stakeholders will have the opportunity to connect with policy experts, local agricultural leaders, and grant providers in an interactive and supportive environment.
“Small farmers are the backbone of our rural communities,” said Earline Middleton, Executive Director of the Eva Clayton Rural Food Institute. “This event is about giving them the tools and resources they need to navigate challenges and build resilient, thriving farms that sustain families and communities.”
